ALET is dedicated to promoting the positive impact of technology in education. Our members include education and technical professionals from throughout the State. They, along with our many sponsors, work hard to provide Alabama students with world-class educational opportunities.
Our focus is on supporting technology directors, educational technology integration coaches, and technical staff. We provide members with multiple ways to grow professionally, including annual events, certification programs, and cybersecurity camps.

Cyber Camp II
Wednesday, May 22nd, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM at Whitley Hall, Troy University Campus, downtown Montgomery
This cyber camp will offer new technical sessions. MS-ISAC expert will present on several topics, including the Ransomware First Aid Kit, KAPE & Timeline Explorer, Preparing Technically for a Cyber Incident, and Emerging K12 Threat Vectors.

Cyber Response & Crisis Communications Workshop
Thursday, May 23rd, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Whitley Hall, Troy University Campus, downtown Montgomery
In the morning, CISA HQ staff will conduct cyber incident tabletop exercises. In the afternoon, PR Crisis consultant David Oates will Zoom in to provide expert advice on handling internal and external communications during and after a major incident.
Who should attend?
Technology directors or designees and Public Relations/Communications Directors or designees are encouraged to attend this one-day event. Superintendents and CSFOs are also welcome.

2024 DRM Scholarship Winner

Isabelle Priest of Decatur City Schools is the 2024 Debbie Rice Memorial Scholarship winner. Isabelle plans to attend Auburn University and pursue a B.S. in Nutrition, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemistry and a doctorate in Pharmacy. 
2024 ALET Member Scholarship Winner

Matthew Phillips, son of ALET member Bryan Phillips, will receive ALET's new Member $5,000 Scholarship. Matthew is a graduate of Spain Park High School/Hoover City Schools. He also plans to attend Auburn University to earn a degree in Chemical Engineering.
