Scholarship Terms & Conditions

I hereby affirm that all the above stated information provided by me is true and correct to the best of my knowledge. I also consent that if chosen as a scholarship winner my picture may be taken and used to promote the ALET’s scholarship award. (The winner may waive the photo due to unusual or compelling circumstances.)
I understand that if chosen as a scholarship winner, according to the Scholarship Committee, I must be present at an ALET determined event to receive the scholarship award.

I understand that if chosen as a scholarship winner, according to the Scholarship Committee, it is my responsibility to remit to ALET the appropriate information for my scholarship to be paid directly to my educational institution of choice located in the state of Alabama.

I hereby affirm that I have not taken part in any activities of any nature which are in conflict or against the laws of the United States of America, or any of the several states or any political subdivisions thereof. Violation of this requirement may result in disqualification of the student for the scholarship and any remaining balances having
been issued must be returned.

All scholarships are contingent upon your acceptance and attendance at an Alabama college or university. If you should decide to attend a college outside of Alabama, you must notify us immediately as we would need to rescind the offer. ALET will release only as much of the award as is needed to pay your college costs. For instance, if you receive another scholarship and the two scholarships combined would exceed your needs for your freshman year, then we will defer the balance until your second year of school. The full amount should be
expended within two academic years of the award. Any remaining balance will revert to ALET.

I hereby understand I will not submit this application without all required attachments and supporting information. Incomplete application does not meet eligibility criteria and will not be considered for this scholarship.
